Dushanbe (TDI): The World Bank has launched a $5 million project to establish an agro-logistics center in Tajikistan’s Sughd Special Economic Zone, aimed at boosting the country’s agricultural sector.
The initiative, which began in 2021, seeks to enhance farm productivity and add value to agricultural products.
The new center will play a key role in improving agricultural infrastructure and efficiency.
This project is part of a broader six-year program, “Enhancing the Sustainability of the Agricultural Sector,” which spans from June 2021 to June 2027, with a total investment of $108 million, The Times of Central Asia reported.
