Vietnam’s 80th National Day Celebrated in Islamabad

Islamabad (TDI): The Vietnamese Embassy in Pakistan hosted a ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the country’s National Day.

The ceremony brought together 500 distinguished guests, including government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, scholars, business leaders, media persons, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Pakistan.

In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador to Pakistan, Pham Anh Tuan, highlighted Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in nation building and development since President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945.

Ambassador Pham stressed Vietnam’s major goals of becoming a developing country with modern industry in near future.

The diplomat underscored the importance of partnerships in this journey, emphasizing that one of Vietnam’s most enduring and dynamic partnerships is with Pakistan.

He expressed confidence that Vietnam and Pakistan will move forward together toward a shared future of peace, innovation, and prosperity.

Pakistan’s State Minister for Finance, Bilal Azhar Kayani , attended the ceremony as the chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the strong Pakistan-Vietnam relations.

The ceremony also featured a documentary highlighting milestones in Vietnam’s 80 years of development and achievements.

Guests also enjoyed an elegant ao dai show by both professional and amateur models, as well as captivating dance performances, leaving the audience amused.

Vietnamese cuisine gave a cultural experience to the guests, while a cake-cutting was also staged where the Ambassador was joined by the chief guest and the ASEAN countries’ ambassadors.
