Ho Chi Minh, 27 October 2021 (TDI):According to a statement given by Bui Thanh Son, the Foreign Minister of Vietnam, US donated 2.6 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines for Vietnam. This aid will help to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Vietnam.
The facility was provided to Vietnam via COVAX mechanism. The doses came on 25 and 26 October, in the Noi and Ho Chi Minh City. In a tweet, Vietnam’s Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to the United States’ gesture.
Another 2.6m doses of vaccine donated by U.S. via COVAX arrived in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City on 25/10 and 26/10, showing strong 🇻🇳🇺🇸 Comprehensive Partnership. Thank you for supporting our fight against Covid-19.

The Southeast Asian state believes this cooperation will enhance the strong and comprehensive partnership between the two. Earlier, US also sent 1,499,940 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses to Vietnam, to fight against covid-19.
