Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Carols Faria, met with the Ambassadors from African states.

Caracas, 16 August 2022 (TDI): The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Carols Faria, met this Monday with the Ambassadors from African states. During the meeting, the Foreign Minister vowed to strengthen Venezuela’s ties with the African nations.

Minister Faria, held meetings with the Ambassadors from Ghana, Botswana, Mauritania, and Angola at the Foreign Ministry Headquarters in the Yellow House.

Meeting with Ghana’s Ambassador

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faria, held a meeting with Abena Pokua Adompim Busia, who is recently Ghana’s Ambassador to Venezuela.

Further, Minister Faria added that Venezuela looks forward to maintaining good relations with growth and transformation between the two nations.

For his part, the Ambassador of Ghana stressed that it’s time to extend the cooperation in the area of security, health, education, technical expertise, and skills development.

Meeting with Botswana’s Ambassador

Carlos Faria met with the Ambassador of Botswana, Tebogo Teko Lily Motshome. The meeting focused on strengthening relations between Botswana and Venezuela.

Moreover, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister emphasized that he hopes to strengthen bilateral ties with Botswana on matters of mutual interest.

Meeting with Mauritania’s Ambassador

Foreign Minister Faria held a meeting with Abdoulaye Wagner, who is recently appointed by the Government of Mauritania as Ambassador to Venezuela.

During the meeting, they also emphasized the primacy of strengthening mutual assistance in multilateral spaces. The two nations are members of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

In addition, Minister Faria said that it was a pleasure to welcome Abdoulaye Wagner. The Foreign Minister aimed to continue strengthening the ties of brotherhood between the two countries.

Meeting with  Angola’s Ambassador

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela also met with Florêncio Mariano Da Conceição E Almeida, representative of Angola in Venezuela. The Angolan Ambassador pledged to strengthen economic, social, and political ties with Venezuela.

Further, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister stressed that both countries ratify their interest in establishing a propitious strategic partnership for our peoples.

Moreover, Venezuela maintains friendly relations with African Countries, as well as many agreements in the area of education, agriculture, and mining.
