Washington (TDI): Vice President JD Vance has said that the United States will not engage militarily in the escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, describing the conflict as “fundamentally none of our business.”
Speaking to Fox news after a recent escalation between the two big powers in South Asia, Vance stated that while Washington is urging both sides to de-escalate, it does not have the authority or responsibility to force either nation to halt military operations.
“We’re not going to get involved in the middle of a war that has nothing to do with USA’s ability to control it,” he said.
The statement comes in the wake of Indian armed forces carried out coordinated missile, air, and drone attacks, targeting multiple locations in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including Sialkot, Shakargarh, Muridke, Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad.

India launched airstrikes on Pakistan early Wednesday morning, an assault that Islamabad termed a blatant act of war.
Islamabad said six sites in Pakistan, from mosques to hydropower projects, were hit in Indian strikes. At least 31 civilians, including children, were martyred and 57 others injured in unprovoked and devious attacks on Ahmedpur East, Muridke, Sialkot and Shakkargarh in Punjab and Muzaffarabad and Kotli in Azad Kashmir.

In retaliation, the Pakistan armed forces shot down five Indian Air Force jets, combat drones, destroyed a brigade headquarters and a number of check posts along the Line of Control (LoC).
The Pakistan army also intercepted and destroyed thirty Israeli-made Herop drones, sent by India to target civilian and military installations on Thursday.
