Tashkent: 29 August 2024 (TDI): The Chevening Scholarships, The UK government’s program for global leaders, has reached a milestone in Uzbekistan with the announcement of its largest group of scholarship winners this year, marking an advancement in educational and international collaboration.

Chevening Scholarships are designed for persons from different backgrounds who demonstrate the commitment and skills needed to become future leaders. Applicants must present a viable plan for positive change in their home country and explain how a UK master’s degree will help them realize their vision.

The scholarship covers full financial support for any eligible master’s degree at more than 150 British universities, providing access to a broad range of exclusive professional, academic, and cultural experiences.

This year, the British government has expanded the number of scholarships available for Central Asian nations. 15 scholars from Uzbekistan will embark on their transformative journey at leading British institutions, including Queen Mary, UCL, University of London, Birmingham University, University of Edinburgh, Warwick University, and University of Reading.

Their fields of study span from Comparative Education, Global Fashion Retailing, Health Management to Public Administration and International Transportation and Trade, Creative Industries and Arts Organization. One scholar will conduct research at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.

As these promising individuals prepare to begin their studies in the UK, the Chevening Scholarships Programme continues to foster cross-cultural understanding and academic excellence. The success of this record-breaking cohort highlighted the enduring partnership between Uzbekistan and UK.
