Tashkent (TDI): Uzbekistan Airways has announced the launch of regular flights connecting Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, with the popular Pakistani city Lahore.
According to the airline’s press release, flights will commence on November 15, 2024, and will operate once a week.

The new flights will not only facilitate travel but also enhance economic, cultural, and other important forms of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The airline will offer 1 weekly flight when it resumes this route on 15NOV24, with Airbus A320 aircraft.

It noted that the two new routes are being developed to bring the cities of the two countries even closer.
“We are expanding horizons and strengthening friendship and cooperation,” the airline added.
The move is part of Uzbekistan’s new tourism expansion. Recently, the country had reopened tourist visas for Pakistani citizens.
It should be noted that the airline previously operated a weekly flight on the same route. However, it was suspended in September 2021.
