Ankara, 11 March 2022 (TDI): Uzbek Foreign Minister, Abdulaziz Kamilov, held a meeting with Kyrgyzstan Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev. Meeting between two officials held on the sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Turkey.

Discussion in the Meeting

In the meeting, the Uzbek Foreign Minister and Kyrgyzstan Foreign Minister discussed issues under the agenda of Uzbek-Kyrgyz Cooperation. Additionally, they talked about means to strengthen bilateral cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats. Both Central Asian countries share warm and friendly bilateral relations.

Likewise, both sides showed readiness to enhance joint work in areas of investment, trade, and economic cooperation. Moreover, both officials expressed views on the crossed border and regional cooperation between the two countries.

Besides, two officials shared thoughts on the  Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and agreed to intensify the fund’s activities. In addition, both noted the implementation of the project on the border trade logistics centre in Kyzyl-Kiya.

Moreover, both representatives talked about current regional and international issues. Talking about the Ukraine crisis, two officials agreed on the need for the cessation of hostilities, de-escalation of crises, and the use of negotiations to resolve the Ukraine-Russia conflict through diplomatic means.

Anatolia Diplomacy Forum: An Overview

Anatolia Diplomacy Forum (ADF) is an international gathering of professionals. These professionals work for diplomacy, including academics, political leaders, and diplomats.

ADF 2022 summit has been organized in Anatolia from 11-13 March 2022. In addition, ADF gives a platform to the regional and global actors to discuss and exchange ideas to address global challenges.

In Anatolia Diplomacy Forum, Heads of States, Foreign Ministers, and representatives from International Organizations join and discuss regional and global issues.
