US-UK Comprehensive Dialogue on Technology and Data

Washington DC, 8 October 2022 (TDI): The United States and the United Kingdom announced the commencement of a Comprehensive Dialogue on Technology and Data.

President of the US, Joseph Biden, and the then-Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson agreed in June 2021 to establish a new landmark bilateral Technology Partnership.

The Partnership aimed to usher in a new era of strategic collaboration and safeguard the technological advantage.

Senior-level representatives from the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office, and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport will lead the annual dialogue.

In the coming year, the Dialogue will concentrate on three topics: data, emerging and critical technologies, and secure and resilient digital infrastructure.

The United States and the United Kingdom acknowledge the strategic significance of technology to economy and security, and for the promotion and protection of shared democratic principles on a worldwide scale.
