Tashkent (TDI): The United States has reinforced its commitment to enhancing English language education in Uzbekistan with the arrival of 20 American teachers this week.
The teachers will engage in teaching and professional development programs across the country, partnering with local educators to provide direct classroom instruction to students.

This initiative is part of the US government’s broader efforts to strengthen English language education in Uzbekistan, which includes the training of over 18,000 local teachers to ensure high-quality instruction.

Since 2018, the U.S. has invested over $31.2 million in English language programs in the country.

Close Cooperation

The US Embassy in Tashkent is working in close cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Preschool and School Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations to support ongoing educational reforms.

It aimed to equip graduates with the necessary linguistic and professional skills to contribute to the nation’s economic growth.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the 20 American educators will be deployed across 10 regions in Uzbekistan.
