Washington DC, 16 August 2022 (TDI): Senator Kevin Cramer, Representative of North Dakota in the United States (US) Senate and Board Director of the Export-Import Bank in the United States (EXIM), Spencer Bachus, visited the Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing facility in North Dakota.

This visit was intended to evaluate on how EXIM Bank can continue to fund small businesses and increase household export markets.

In this context, Senator Cramer and Director Bachus hosted a roundtable with small businesses from all over North Dakota after the site visit.

Furthermore, Spencer Bachus emphasized EXIM’s initiatives to support the re-shoring of American manufacturing employment through the ‘Make More in America’ Initiative.

Moreover, this will be for a new piece of equipment that will make EXIM financing available for projects with an export focus based in the United States.

While meeting with Senator Cramer, he also discussed how utilizing EXIM programs can help North Dakota’s businesses expand into new markets, boost their revenue, and fortify their resilience.

Remarks of the officials

The Director of the EXIM Bank said, “I thank Senator Cramer for inviting me to Dickinson to discuss the tools EXIM provides for small businesses in North Dakota and around the country. No one has been more supportive of American manufacturing than Sen. Cramer. EXIM is dedicated to providing new opportunities like the Make More in America Initiative to strengthen our domestic workforce.”

He added, “we know that companies that export are more likely to succeed, and one of our core goals at the Bank is to ensure every company, large and small, has access to our programs. Ultimately, we are committed to doing everything we can to support U.S. jobs and help businesses grow.”

In response, Senator Cramer reiterated, “It was great to host Export-Import Bank Director Bachus in Dickinson today to discuss opportunities to expand exports for North Dakota businesses. The Bank ensures businesses in our state and throughout the country can compete on a level playing field in the global marketplace. They provide critical financing to American exporters to ship our goods, innovation and freedom across the world while supporting small businesses and jobs at home.”

Export-Import Bank of the United States

It must be noted that the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is the country’s official export credit organization to assist American exports to support American jobs.

Aside from that, EXIM provides financing options such as export development health care coverage, capital investment guarantees, government subsidies, and direct loans to increase American ability to compete.

It also supports American companies in staying competitive in international sales. EXIM is an impartial federal agency and supports huge employment opportunities in exporting companies and their distribution networks throughout the country. This, in return, helps the US economy grow.
