In addition, he conveyed that the United States welcomes UK engagement in the Indo-Pacific, including its allies of the Mekong ministerial meeting. The outcome aims towards advancing peace, prosperity, and security in the Indo-Pacific where lies major sea-lanes. Also, Indo-Pacific is significant as it is connected to major centers of the international economy in the North Atlantic, Asia-Pacific, and global trade.
