Washington DC, 1 March 2023 (TDI): The United States (US) Department of Political-Military Affairs recently released a statement stating that it is working to enhance Ukraine’s demining and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) capacity.
Tetra Tech is a leading provider of services addressing the global security landscape. The US Department is teaming up with Tetra Tech, to create the strongest possible environment for landmine removal and disposal technologies.
Tetra Tech expert trainers would be providing instructions on international standards and certifications to Ukrainian demining and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams.
In addition, Tetra Tech experts would also provide specialized equipment and mentoring personnel that will focus on developing the knowledge base and capabilities of Ukrainian demining and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams.
By partnering with Tetra Tech, the US Department would be able to impart the necessary support and resources to help Ukraine develop its expertise and capacity in this area.
So, this initiative will assist Ukraine in achieving a stronger, more secure, and safe environment for its citizens. In other words, this step has been taken by the US to repel Russian aggression and provide more security assistance to Ukraine.
Above all, it also indicates the US commitment to constantly supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
US-Ukraine Security Cooperation
For the record, the US has been providing security cooperation to Ukraine in the form of diplomatic, military, financial, and technological assistance since 2014.
This includes political consultations, joint military exercises, intelligence cooperation, financial aid to strengthen defense capabilities, and assistance in fighting corruption.
Further, the US has also announced plans to expand military training and support with Ukraine to further boost the country’s security.
In short, this project with Tetra Tech is also a part of the US Department’s greater mission to ensure the safety and freedom of all Ukrainian citizens and provide them with the highest level of security and protection.
