US Marines and Australian Soldiers Dismount MV22B Osprey

-

Darwin, 4 September 2021 (TDI): The US Marines Department announced on Friday the dismounting of MV22B Osprey with the help of Australian soldiers during a mock aerial assault as part of Koolendong exercises taking place in Australia.

Marine aviation aims to strengthen the US-Australian partnership and capabilities. The MV-22B Osprey transported the Australian Army soldiers and U.S. Marines to an objective point for an aerial assault as part of the Koolendong Exercise, which is meant to endorse Australian Defense Force’s and Marine Rotational Force – Darwin’s capacity to conduct reasonable command and control operations and be ready to immediately respond to a crisis in the Indo-Pacific.
