Virginia, 30 August 2021 (TDI): Major General Hank Taylor Commander, Army Operational Test Command told reporters at the Pentagon in a news briefing on Friday that “As the military mission begins to end in Kabul, thousands of service members are working across the globe and within the United States to complete this incredibly important mission”
On Friday, 32 US military planes, including 27 C-17s and five C-130s, flew away carrying 4,000 people. An additional 2,800 people departed Kabul for different intermediate staging locations, in addition to 34 coalition aircraft and departures. Sixty-six aircraft with 6,800 evacuees departed Kabul on Friday within that 24-hour period.
