Karachi (TDI): US Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) in Pakistan, Natalie Baker, underscored the United States’ commitment to a prosperous and self-reliant Pakistan during a meeting with Sindh’s Governor, Kamran Khan Tessori.

The meeting, held at the Governor’s House, was also attended by US Consul General Charles Goodman and other senior American officials.

Discussions centered on strengthening Pakistan–US bilateral ties, with a particular focus on trade, economic cooperation, and deepening people-to-people connections.

CDA Baker emphasized that the United States remains committed to supporting Pakistan’s long-term stability and development through accountable foreign assistance and robust diplomatic engagement.

“The U.S. is proud to work with Pakistan toward sustainable economic growth that benefits both our nations,” she said.

Governor Tessori provided updates on key provincial initiatives and welcomed continued engagement with the US private sector, particularly in areas that promote job creation and investment in Sindh.

He highlighted the importance of such partnerships in fostering economic opportunity at the grassroots level.

In addition to these talks, CDA Baker toured the historic Quaid-e-Azam’s room at the Governor’s House, paying tribute to Pakistan’s founding father. She also signed the visitors’ book.

The US diplomatic mission in Pakistan has offered assistance in trade, education, health, and security over the years.

The latest diplomatic outreach reflects ongoing efforts to build on shared goals of regional stability, economic development, and stronger institutional ties.

More recently, the US Embassy supported the World Food Program (WFP) in distributing fortifies biscuits to 41,000 people displaced from their homes due to floods.
