Beijing, 31 August 2024 (TDI): Members of the US business community have expressed optimism regarding the prospects of the Chinese market, anticipating improvements in bilateral relations, according to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

During a recent visit to the US, a Chinese business delegation led by Ren Hongbin, head of the CCPIT, met with officials from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Maryland state government, and executives from major companies such as Pfizer, Starbucks, and Walmart.

This visit was organized at the invitation of the US Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC).

CCPIT spokesperson Wang Linjie said that the level of participation from U.S.-funded enterprises in these exchanges was unprecedented.

U.S. business leaders expressed a desire for more frequent interactions, communication, and cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.

Business Community’s Role in Advancing Relations

Wang emphasized that, regardless of global changes, the business communities of China and the US play a crucial role in maintaining and advancing bilateral relations.

She reiterated CCPIT’s commitment to collaborating with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, USCBC, and other organizations to deepen cooperation and stabilize China-US relations.

The CCPIT has addressed 952 concerns raised by US enterprises and institutions, resolving 730 of these issues.

The organization has also provided comprehensive services, including intellectual property and legal support. Moving forward, CCPIT plans to enhance these services and continue addressing legitimate concerns from foreign businesses.

Wang highlighted the significant potential of the US consumption market for Chinese trade enterprises, noting that numerous Chinese brands across various industries will participate in US trade shows in the coming months.
