Islamabad (TDI): The advantages of fair, sustainable economic growth driven by the private sector and the possibility of boosting bilateral trade and investment between the US and Pakistan were highlighted by US Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Blome.
He was speaking during during a visit and meetings with the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sialkot Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The ambassador was happy to have the conversation about potential economic changes as well as opinions on Pakistan’s business and investment environment.
According to US Ambassador Blome, “Pakistan’s largest export market worldwide is the United States, and over the last ten years, our exports to the United States have more than doubled, demonstrating the strength of our shared economic relationship.”
Highlighting the United States’ dedication to fostering entrepreneurship, GharPar, a women-led enterprise in Lahore, Pakistan, is revolutionizing the concept of women’s economic empowerment.
Ambassador Blome and U.S. Consul General Kristin Hawkins met with the company.
In addition to participating in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s 2024 Select USA delegation from Pakistan, the company took part in a government-funded entrepreneurship training program in 2016.
Within the upcoming year, it intends to begin operations in the US.
The US is confident that giving women entrepreneurs more chances results in societies with greater stability. Ambassador Blome stated that the communities and families of successful female entrepreneurs reap benefits.

The United States is still dedicated to encouraging entrepreneurship in Pakistan and other countries in order to boost economic expansion, produce higher-quality jobs, and raise the security and prosperity of the global economy.
