Tripoli, 23 October 2021 (TDI):The Ambassador of the United States of America to Libya, Richard B. Norland expressed hope and confidence in carrying forward the message of peace and reconciliation for the sake of Development and Progress in Libya.
In a video message released by US Embassy, Ambassador Richard B. Norland congratulated the Libya and its people on the completion of one year of the Ceasefire Agreement that brought an end to violence, continuous bombardment in Tripoli and made it possible to start political negotiations that brought tremendous progress to people of Libya.

Moreover, Ambassador Richard B. Norland highlighted the recently held Stabilisation Conference on Tripoli as the best evidence yet of this agreement. The US Ambassador said that the conference encouraged progress made and seeing potential ahead. The US Ambassador also congratulated the 5+5 Joint Military Committee for implementing this agreement possible.
Further, the US Ambassador assured support to the Libyan people as they try to take closer steps to implement this agreement to the fullest and build on the political negotiations where the ultimate aim is to see reconciliation among the different groups.
