Urdu campaign by German High Commission

Islamabad, 11 August 2021 (TDI): On Monday, Sweden High Commission in Pakistan initiated a digital reading campaign about the world’s strongest girl known as Pipi ki Kahani in Pakistan. Sweden Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E Henrik Persson launched the project in a video on the German Embassy’s official page in collaboration with the local Olomopolo media organization.

Sweden High Commission stated that this Digital Campaign will feature Pakistani artists including Sania Saeed, Samiya Mumtaaz, Mina Malik-Hussain, Nadia Afgan, and Fawad Khan. Furthermore, at the end of each chapter, the program will be open to questions and giveaways.

Pipi is a fictional character created by Sweden Author Astrid Lindgren, a renowned translated author in the world. The first book was published in 1945 and translated into around 70 languages in the world. The story is about a confident and brave young girl who is innovative and different and uses his creations to solve a problem.

The High Commission Sweden stated the first episode of Pipi ki Kahani will be aired at 8 pm on 11 August on their official Facebook page.
