The University of Sargodha (UoS) has signed a landmark agreement of mutual collaboration with China’s Zaozhuang School of Technology, under which a joint Lithium Battery Research Centre will be set up at the University.
The agreement is a major advancement in Pakistan and China’s educational and academic collaboration in tech-driven research, and is a milestone in the university’s efforts to expand applied research collaborations with Chinese partners.
The Research Centre will be a cutting-edge facility aimed at advancing research and innovation in energy storage technologies.

The next phase of the agreement envisions the establishment of a joint Lithium Battery Manufacturing Unit in Pakistan, to support local technological development.
University’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas led the delegation and was accompanied by the Director External Linkages, Director of the Pakistan Institute of China Studies, and Host Director of the Confucius Institute at University of Sargodha.
The leadership of both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to long-term collaboration in scientific research and vocational training.
