Vienna, 1 August 2022 (TDI): The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has paved a way for industrial skills development by facilitating a systemic change.
UNIDO has highlighted that systematic change can be built through the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility (LKDF).
LKDF’s aim is to help meet the labor market’s demand for skilled employees. Hence, UNIDO and LKDF have the potential to change the world industry by working together.

LKDF
Learning and Knowledge Development Facility promotes as well as learns from Public Private Development Partnerships.
Furthermore, LKDF is a platform that encourages young people in developing nations to develop their industrial skills.
Therefore, it establishes in partnership with global manufacturing companies, training academies for the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment within different sectors.
Furthermore, the Facility expands the access of youth to job-oriented. Together with market demand-driven skills in the sectors of logistics and industrial maintenance of machinery.

As a specialized agency of the UN, it promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization, and environmental sustainability.
Accelerating inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in the Member States is the goal of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
That is, as described in the Lima Declaration adopted at the fifteenth session of the UNIDO General Conference in 2013. Along with the Abu Dhabi Declaration adopted at the eighteenth session of the UNIDO General Conference in 2019.
Notably, ISID’s relevance as an integrated approach to all three pillars of sustainable development is recognized by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The Organization’s programmatic focus is structured into four strategic priorities. Namely, “Creating shared prosperity, Advancing economic competitiveness, Safeguarding the environment, and Strengthening knowledge and institutions”.
UNIDO has increased its technical services over the past years. In addition to this, it has likewise increased its mobilization of financial resources, testifying to the growing international recognition of the Organization. Thus, as an effective provider of catalytic industrial development services.
