Islamabad, 28 September 2021 (TDI): Family planning is a basic human right and the key factor in reducing poverty. But due to lack of awareness family planning is not adopted as a measure that drastically affects a female’s health. This can threaten their ability to build a better future for themselves. In this regard United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is working to guide and support family planning by creating awareness, ensuring a steady, reliable supply of contraceptives among families to strengthen the national health system.
United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) working to strengthen and improve access to reproductive health services for marginalized young women. Having better access to contraceptive knowledge will help to achieve gender equality and will reduce poverty. These benefits were acknowledged in the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and development. This lays the foundation for much of UNFPA work.
