The current mediation of conflicts between cultures and religions will be the forum’s main topic. The UNAOC’s most well-known event, the Global Forum, will take place in Africa for the first time this year.

The 9th UNAOC Worldwide Forum is a platform for debate on a global scale. It brings together well-known individuals. Among them are senior government officials, political and religious leaders, members of civil society, young people, and other stakeholders.

The UNAOC Forum will take place under the theme “Towards an Alliance of Peace: Living Together as One Humanity.”

According to Moratinos, Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco, personally chose and suggested Fez as the host city due to its immense symbolism and status as a city with a strong cultural and religious heritage.

In addition, he stated that the UNAOC, the Kingdom of Morocco, and António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, all wanted to make a very clear message that “living together is not a utopia, it’s a reality”.

Also included in this are representatives from the commercial sector, civil society, academia, the arts, sports, and media, as well as donors of foundations and agencies.

On a wide range of current global concerns, they will all participate in a lively discussion of creative ideas.

The main message of the Forum, according to Moratinos, “will be of peace, of reconciliation, and understanding.”
