The aim of the meeting was to explore collaborative avenues for harnessing sport for women and girls in Pakistan as sports is a vital tool to advance gender equality
The duo discussed the situation of sports for women in Pakistan. Moreover, they ensured their collaboration in the promotion of sports for women in Pakistan.

“The product quality speaks volumes of how talented women in Pakistan are,” she stated. Pakistani women are now showing their abilities in several sports, including cricket, hockey, tennis, and squash.
Some of the famous sportswomen personalities of Pakistan are Samina Baig, Naseem Hameed, and Sana Mir. These are just some of the women to be excelling in their respective sports.
Country Representative of UN Women Pakistan: Sharmeela Rassool
Sharmeela Rassool is the Country Representative of UN Women Pakistan. She is an optimistic person trying to make better lives for everyone around her. She became the UN Women’s Country Representative in September 2020.
Sharmeela Rasool is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court in Sri Lanka and holds a Masters degree in Intentional Human Rights Law (LLM).
