Islamabad, 12 November 2021 (TDI): On Thursday, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Pakistan, Christian Turner, appreciated the Pakistani cricket team’s performance in ICC T20 World Cup on its five consecutive wins.

Pakistan and Australia confronted each other on 11th November in Dubai in the semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup. After two years, both countries played against each other in the T20. In the match, Australia won by five wickets. Australia qualified for the final of the T20 World Cup after this win.

Despite losing the game and not qualifying for the final of the ICC T20 World Cup, the Pakistani team got appreciation from fans and different personalities. Christian Turner is among the admirers of the Pakistani cricket team.

Ambassador Christian said that the Pakistani team lost the match but indeed won hearts. He appreciated the Green Shirts for proving themselves.

Moreover, he was hopeful to see Pakistan and England in Men’s International T20 in September-October 2022. The team England has decided to play two more matches on their visit to Pakistan in September-October 2022 Twenty20 International.

Before this, on 10th November, Christian Turner expressed his wish to see the final of the ICC T20 World Cup between the cricket teams of Pakistan and England.
