Kyiv, 31 May 2022 (TDI): Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba spoke with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs Joseph Borrell Fontelles on Monday.
The Foreign Minister said that it was a very great and purposive talk. The agenda of the conversation between them was the mobilization of more Military aid.
Spoke with @JosepBorrellF. Grateful for his readiness to further mobilize military aid for Ukraine. Discussed the complications of getting the 6th EU sanctions package done. Needs to be approved as soon as possible, oil embargo included. Food security remains in our shared focus.

In addition, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba especially highlighted the implementation of sanctions, especially in the Oil sector against Russia. They also called for the EU to reach an agreement to block Russian Oil Imports.
In the talk with EU High Representative Joseph Borrell Fontelles, he said that Food Security is always their top priority. They said that they agreed on the urgency to advance on sanctions.
Similarly, EU Representative also assured that they would highlight with other European leaders the agriculture exports of Ukraine. Also, during the conversation, both the Foreign Minister and EU High Representative condemned Russian aggression.
The Foreign Minister appealed to the EU and the International Community to support Ukraine in this difficult time. Finally, both of them stated that now is the time to come up and take the steps for the noble cause to save humanity immediately.
Background
When Russia invaded Ukraine, International actors especially the EU put Sanctions on Russia. Furthermore, the EU had provided much assistance to Ukraine to lift them out of the current crisis.
Since the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, many countries came to its support on different forums. EU is one of the strongest supporters of Ukraine, sending the country much-needed humanitarian and military support.
A few weeks ago EU also discussed the immediate support plan for Ukraine.
