Kyiv (TDI): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that Ukraine attaches great importance to developing ties with China and hopes to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
Zelensky made the remarks when he accepted diplomatic credential from the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador Ma Shengkun in Kiev.
The Ukrainian president positively evaluated the development momentum of China-Ukraine ties and expressed the hope to further enhance exchanges at all levels with Beijing, deepening cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, culture and people-to-people exchanges, according to Xinhua reported.

China and Ukraine are important strategic partners. China has always insisted on viewing and planning China-Ukraine ties from a long-term perspective, Ma said.
Beijing stands ready to work together with Ukraine to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in different fields, maintain and develop China-Ukraine ties, and benefit the people of both nations, he added.

Ma arrived in Ukraine to assume his new responsibilities on November 20.
