Kyiv, 20 August 2022 (TDI): Ukraine’s Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, and the President of the Swiss Federation Ignazio Cassis held bilateral talks on Friday. Prime Minister Shmyhal also stated in a tweet that Switzerland will assist Ukraine in the ongoing conflict.

He added that Switzerland will help Ukraine in demining, nuclear security, and demilitarization of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear facility. Shmyhal also mentioned the humanitarian assistance provided by Switzerland to Ukraine.

It was also added that the Swiss government will help Ukraine in its energy security. Shmyhal also thanked the Swiss President for the support of Ukraine.

In the recent tweet of Switzerland’s Confederation President, Ignazio Cassis, it was stressed that Ukraine will also be provided with humanitarian assistance. He also showed concerns about the issue of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear facility.

President Cassis said that Switzerland will help Ukraine in demining efforts and nuclear safety. He also gave surety about the continuous humanitarian aid for Ukrainian citizens.

Ukraine Recovery Conference 2022

Moreover, the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2022 was held in Lugano, Switzerland in July 2022. This conference included discussions on post-conflict efforts of peacebuilding, reconciliation, and reconstruction with regard to Ukraine 

The political and diplomatic efforts for development in Ukraine were also discussed at the following conference.

The Swiss government also stated that it will provide every possible assistance for the development and continuous support of Ukraine and its economy. Switzerland stressed the point to represent the interests of Ukraine globally.
