UK High Commissioner Reviews Disaster Preparedness at NDMA Headquarters

Islamabad (TDI): Jane Marriott, the United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, visited the headquarters of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and its National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) to review Pakistan’s disaster preparedness and response capabilities.

She was received by NDMA Chairman Inam Haider Malik, who briefed the delegation on the country’s evolving disaster management architecture and the technological systems supporting national preparedness.

During the visit, the High Commissioner was given a comprehensive overview of the NEOC’s operational role in monitoring hazards, coordinating responses, and supporting decision-making during emergencies.

Officials highlighted the center’s advanced digital portals, real-time dashboards, and monitoring tools that form part of NDMA’s broader Disaster Early Warning and Technology Ecosystem.
