UK Cuts All Direct Flights to Iran

ISLAMABAD, September 11, 2024 (TDI): On Wednesday, the United Kingdom (UK) has begun ending all direct air services between the UK and Iran as a part of new sanctions imposed on Tehran. This actions is a follow up of allegations that Iran delivered missiles to Russia for use in Ukraine.

The British government stated that it is canceling its bilateral air services arrangements with Iran, which will significantly limit Iran Air’s ability to operate flights to the UK.

According to its website, Iran Air currently offers direct flights between London and Tehran three times a week.
