ISLAMABAD (TDI): United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has met with US President Joe Biden aimed to discuss Israel-Lebanon tension, Gaza ceasefire as well as ties between UAE and US.

Biden, UAE President Meets to discuss Israel-Lebanon Tension
The two leaders are set to discuss strategies for deescalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon, as well as efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.
This meeting is important as it marks the first visit by a UAE president to the White House.

Biden, along with Vice President Kamala Harris, will engage in separate discussions with Sheikh Mohamed, addressing critical issues that include the ongoing conflict in the region and advancements in artificial intelligence.
Before their meeting, Biden stated he had been briefed on the latest developments between Israel and Lebanon, affirming his commitment to working with international counterparts to ensure the safe return of affected individuals.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed the UAE’s “unwavering commitment” to deepening its strategic partnership with the United States.
Harris plans to focus on efforts for a Gaza ceasefire and a hostage deal in her discussion with the UAE leader.
