In a statement delivered at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the UAE expressed its commitment to fostering collaboration and responsible exploration of space, recognizing its significance in achieving global goals.

The UAE began by expressing its gratitude to Omran Sharaf, Chair of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), for his tireless leadership in advancing international cooperation in outer space activities.

Additionally, Niklas Hedman, the Acting Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), was acknowledged for his invaluable contributions to the field.

The UAE extended its warmest congratulations to Aarti Holla-Maini, the newly appointed director of UNOOSA.
