Abu Dhabi, 10 August 2022(TDI): Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received his Zambian counterpart Stanley Kakubo in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the two sides explored avenues of cooperation between two countries.

Furthermore, the Two leaders also discussed issues of mutual concern including the latest regional and International development.

According to Emirates News Agency WAM, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Kakubo to the United Arab Emirates. Besides, He stressed the need to enhance cooperation and friendship in all domains.

The Zambian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation praised the growing cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations further. Moreover, they also discussed opening resident embassies. Furthermore, The two sides also examined ways to border the horizon of cooperation between the two countries. The Zambian Foreign Ministry reported.

Meanwhile, he hailed the UAE’s pioneering stature regionally and internationally and the country’s notable efforts to advance sustainable development paths in societies.

Economic Relations: 

In 2020, the two countries signed three agreements to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The agreements include promotion and reciprocal protection of investments and avoidance of double taxation. Also, the prevention of fiscal evasion concerning taxes and income was included in the agreement.

Also, In 2022, the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers, Abdullah Muhammad Al Mazrouei met the President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakindi Hechilema, in Abu Dhabi.
