Karachi (TDI): The UAE Consulate in Karachi marked UAE Flag Day with a solemn yet joyful ceremony, reaffirming the ties between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.

In a symbolic gesture, the national flag of the United Arab Emirates was raised high in the Consulate courtyard to underline “unity among the people of the UAE” and the country’s shared ambitions on the global stage, as noted in a post shared on social app X.

Across the UAE, Flag Day is observed on 3rd November each year. At the heart of the day’s significance is the raising of the national flag; a moment that evokes loyalty, belonging, and collective purpose.

In Abu Dhabi at the historic Qasr Al Hosn, the country’s leaders including Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan took part in the ceremony, emphasizing the flag’s role as “a symbol of national pride and unity.”

The Karachi event echoed that spirit. Alongside the Consulate’s diplomats and local staff, members of the UAE-Pakistani community, friends of the UAE mission, and stakeholders observed the flag-raising with quiet dignity.

The Consulate’s message highlighted the words “inclusivity, resilience and ambition” as core values embodied by the national banner.

The Consulate’s statement read: This day embodies the spirit of unity among the people of the UAE, reaffirming our commitment to enhancing our country’s position on the global stage. May the UAE flag continue to be a symbol of inclusivity, resilience, and ambition.”

Back home in the UAE, schools, government departments, and institutions unfurled the flag en masse, marking the day through educational programs, welcoming speeches, and commemorative displays.

For the Consulate in Karachi, the event also served as a subtle reminder of the UAE’s continuing cooperation with Pakistan, both bilaterally and regionally; across commerce, infrastructure, culture, and education.
