Kabul, 26 September 2023 (TDI): The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Kabul, Eisa Salem Mohammed Salem Aldaheri met with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi on September 25, in Kabul.
During the meeting, both sides discussed about further strengthening and developing relations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates in different political and economic fields.
Furthermore, both sides also talked about dispatching humanitarian aid to the affected parts of the Afghan society.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan highlighted Afghanistan’s valuable experiences with the UAE in various fields.
The Foreign Minister admitted that the United Arab Emirates is a good political and economic friend of Afghanistan.
The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Kabul on his part praised the current security situation in Afghanistan and the achievements of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in various fields.
Lastly, during the meeting, both sides assured each other of their good intentions and interest in the development of relations between the UAE and IEA.

UAE and IEA have been exchanging diplomatic engagements productively for the past years.
The visit of UAE Minister of Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, Ali Mohammed bin Hammad Al Shamsi to Kabul in 2021, to meet the Foreign Minister of Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan (IEA) includes one of the important engagements between the two countries.
In that meeting, the cooperation and investment in the economic, education, technical, and agricultural fields were notified to be strengthened between the two countries.
The visit of the Defense Minister of Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan (IEA) along with his delegation to UAE in 2022, also includes one of the diplomatic engagements between the two countries.
