Turkmenistan, US Explore Prospects for Economic Partnership

Ashgabat (TDI): A Turkmen-US business forum was held in Ashgabat to discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between the United States and Turkmenistan.

The event brought together a delegation of US business leaders led by Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council.

In their remarks, representatives from both countries stressed the friendly and cooperative nature of Turkmen-US ties, reaffirming their commitment to deepening relations based on mutual benefit.

Turkmenistan, focused on economic diversification and the adoption of advanced technologies, showed willingness to support US firms in establishing and expanding operations in the Turkmen market.

It was underlined that Turkmenistan offers favorable conditions for investors, including organizational and legal mechanisms to facilitate business activities.

The US delegation highlighted the strong interest of leading US companies in the Turkmen market and their readiness to contribute to strategic programs aimed at regional development.

Companies such as General Electric, Boeing, John Deere, Case, and others are already operating successfully in key sectors of the Turkmen economy.

Discussions during the gathering centered on priority sectors of collaboration, including, agriculture, Industry, and water resources.

Supplies of advanced equipment to increase productivity and joint projects to advance energy infrastructure were also discussed.

The forum also deliberated upon enhancing connectivity and infrastructure development, while promoting sustainable solutions and technological progress were also came under discussion.

Special focus was given to the role of the Turkmen-US Business Council as a major platform for fostering partnerships between public and private sectors in both nations.
