Ashgabat (TDI): Turkmenistan has emerged as one of the ten countries with the cheapest gasoline prices globally, with a liter costing just $0.429, according to data from the Global Petrol Prices portal as of September 30, 2024.
This places Turkmenistan as the Central Asian country with the lowest fuel prices.
The report highlights significant global variations in fuel prices, with wealthier nations generally paying more, while poorer countries and oil-producing nations tend to have lower prices.
Among countries with the cheapest diesel prices are Iran, Libya, and Venezuela, while Hong Kong tops the list of the most expensive, where a liter of gasoline costs $3.279.

Other countries with high prices include Singapore, Israel, Finland, and Switzerland.
In Central Asia, Kazakhstan’s gasoline price is slightly higher at $0.508 per liter, while Kyrgyzstan follows at $0.880 per liter.
Uzbekistan records the highest price in the region, with a liter of gasoline costing $0.983.
