Ashgabat, (TDI): Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan have experienced a notable rise in bilateral trade in 2024, with total trade turnover approaching $400 million, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
Data from Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee reveals that Turkmenistan’s exports to Azerbaijan reached $303.47 million, while Azerbaijan’s exports to Turkmenistan totaled $80.24 million, bringing the overall trade volume to $383.9 million.
For comparison, Azerbaijan’s total foreign trade turnover in 2024 stood at $47.6 billion, including $26.55 billion in exports and $21.05 billion in imports. The consistent increase in trade between the two Caspian nations highlights the potential for stronger economic collaboration.
In 2023, trade between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan surged by 73%, hitting $738.9 million—an all-time high in their economic partnership.
