El Arish, 23 October 2023 (TDI): Turkiye’s presidential aid plane loaded with medical supplies for Gaza landed at the El Arish Airport in Egypt on October 22.
The medical supplies included medicine, medical consumables, and medical devices.
Besides that, a physician group consisting of 20 Turkish medical experts was also sent to carry out the feasibility works for Turkish field hospitals that are aimed to be established at El-Arish Airport and Rafah Border Gate, by the plans made with the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
The 20 Turkish medical experts during their visit will identify the medicines, medical consumables, and devices needed by the people of Gaza, and will deliver them by coordinating with relevant authorities.
It was also highlighted by the Turkish Health Minister, Dr. Fahrettin Koca that after the completion of the necessary coordination, Turkiye will also be planning to send ambulances to the region by ship.
The Turkish Health Minister also emphasized, “We have an effort that will bring joy to the hearts of all sensitive people in the world: To initiate aid to pass through the Rafah Gate! Humanity’s eyes are on the countries that can take action for Gaza. “
Apart from the recent medical aid, the Turkiye also sent the humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza that landed at El Arish Airport, Egypt on October 13.
The humanitarian aid included medicine, durable food, canned goods, diapers, and medical supplies.

The Turkish Red Crescent teams, who are also working on the shipment operations in Egypt, were designated to pass the aid materials through the Rafah border gate in cooperation with Turkey’s aid organizations, the Egyptian Red Crescent, and the Palestinian Red Crescent to distribute them to Gazan civilians.
The Turkish humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza was arranged with the support and cooperation of the Turkish Red Crescent, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense, and the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
