Rawalpindi, 6 July 2022 (TDI): The Turkish Commander of Land Forces, Musa Avsever called on Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General, Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual and professional interest with an emphasis on defense and security collaboration between the two countries.

Additionally, both sides agreed to continue optimizing military-to-military ties specifically in training and counter-terrorism domains.
Pakistani Chief of Army mentioned that Pakistan values brotherly relations with Turkiye. The two counties support each other in getting through difficult challenges. For example, times of natural disasters have also led to the deepening of their close relations.
“We highly value our brotherly relations with Turkey which are deeply rooted in history and entrenched in our cultural and religious affinities,” General Bajwa highlighted.
On the other side, the Turkish Commander lauded the professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
In addition to this, Commander Avsever affirmed enhancing cooperation in different fields. He further pledged to play his role in further improvements within diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
Meeting with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee
Previously, Avsever called on the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Nadeem Raza at the General Staff at Joint Staff Headquarters.
Therefore, they discussed enhancing the level and scope of bilateral military engagements and cooperation.
Likewise, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to friendly ties and that Pakistan and Turkiye will continue forging deeper strategic ties.
Thus, they agreed that the two countries share a great history of cordial relations and a deep spirit of brotherhood that is being transformed into an enduring partnership.
In a similar manner, the Chairman highlighted that in pursuing closer military and strategic cooperation, both nations share a common perception of all national and international issues.
Most importantly, the Chairman thanked Avsever for visiting and acknowledging the Pakistani Defence Force’s achievements. That is, in the war against terrorism, sacrifices, and contribution to regional peace and stability.
