Anchorage (TDI): US First Lady Melania Trump raised concerns over the fate of children caught in the Ukraine war through a private letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Reuters reported citing two White House officials on Friday.

President Donald Trump personally delivered the letter to Putin during their summit in Alaska, the officials said.

Melania, who was not present on the trip, wrote about the abductions of Ukrainian children taken into Russia or Russian-occupied areas.

The officials declined to reveal the full contents but confirmed the message highlighted the humanitarian issue, the report added.
