Islamabad (TDI): Ambassador Dilşad Şenol, Representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Pakistan, has been honoured with the prestigious Global Ambassador Award 2024 in recognition of her outstanding efforts in strengthening diplomatic, trade, and cultural bilateral relations.
The Diplomatic Insight, a global public diplomacy institution in Pakistan, awarded the Ambassador with the 6th Global Ambassador Award for his groundbreaking contributions to bringing the two nations closer together at bilateral, regional, and multilateral forums within a short period of time.
The 6th Global Ambassador Awards Ceremony 2024 took place in Islamabad, with the presence of Ambassadors, diplomatic corps, Parliamentarians, government officials, business leaders, academics, media, and civil society members.
Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Dr. Farhat Asif, Chairperson of the Diplomatic Insight Group, welcomed distinguished guests and underscored the organization’s commitment to promoting global collaboration and diplomacy.
Ambassador Dilşad Şenol is a seasoned diplomat with a career dedicated to strengthening international ties.

Holding degrees in International Relations from Eastern Mediterranean University and Public Relations from Anadolu University, she began her journey as an Immigration Officer, which laid a strong foundation for her expertise in border management and immigration.
Joining the TRNC Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2007, Ambassador Şenol held roles in the Directorate of Economic, Cultural, and Social Affairs and served as Vice Consul in İstanbul and Consul in London.
These roles refined her diplomatic skills, particularly in crisis management and building political relations.
Since August 2021, Ambassador Şenol has led the TRNC Representative Office in Islamabad, where she has been pivotal in strengthening TRNC-Pakistan ties.

Her work includes promoting cultural and economic exchanges and advocating for the TRNC’s stance on sovereign equality, which has been warmly received in Pakistan.
Her initiatives span media outreach, educational collaborations, and trade relations, helping raise awareness of the TRNC in Pakistan.
She has also played a vital role in expanding opportunities for Pakistani students in TRNC, now numbering over 3,000.
Ambassador Şenol’s tenure reflects a dedication to fostering mutual respect, cooperation, and solidarity between the Turkish Cypriot and Pakistani people, particularly on shared issues like Cyprus and Kashmir.
