Tripartite Meeting Between UAE, Cyprus and Greece

Dubai, 15 November 2021 (TDI): Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with the Foreign Ministers of Greece and Cyprus, Nikos Dendias, and Nikos Christodoulides, respectively. The meeting took place yesterday in Dubai.

The officials exchanged views on diplomatic relations between the three countries. They also discussed ways to strengthen these relations in various fields. Moreover, several issues of mutual interest, regional developments, and international trends were brought into the discussion.

The foreign ministers of Greece and Cyprus emphasized the significance of their meeting with the UAE counterpart. They discussed ways to create frameworks of collaboration with the UAE in order to attain similar goals.

Sheikh Abdullah delightfully greeted the Foreign Ministers of Cyprus and Greece. He commended the distinguished relations that bind the three states together and also exhibited an eagerness to further strengthen these relations. He also aspired for enhanced trilateral collaboration in all domains.

Moreover, the leaders underscored collective willingness to expand their partnership while addressing the current situation in Syria. The latest developments in Libya and the debates that took place during the recent Paris summit were also discussed during the meeting.

Lastly, the foreign ministers exchanged views on the progress made in their joint efforts to expand regional cooperation in the Middle East and Gulf region. In this regard, the officials agreed on shared cooperation, along with the prospective participation of other regional states on the matter.
