Islamabad, 4 September 2024 (TDI): The US Congress’s Pakistan Caucus has a new chairman, Tom Suozzi, a Democratic congressman from New York, after Sheila Jackson Lee passed away.
Since entering Congress in 2017, Tom has vowed to improve ties between Pakistan and the US on a bilateral basis.
Tom recently expressed his excitement for the position and his intention to work toward strengthening the two countries’ cooperation in a statement.
Tom Suozzi was invited to visit Pakistan by community leader Tanveer Ahmed and Democratic politician Dr. Asif Riaz Qadeer after his appointment.

Tom is expected to come in the Pakistan in November after accepting the offer
A strong advocate of Pakistan, especially after natural calamities, was the late Sheila Jackson Lee, the former chair of the Pakistan Caucus.
