TİKA is Turkey’s state-run agency which mostly works under the auspices of Turkish Embassy in Islamabad, and supports vocational trainings, institutes for children with special needs, research collaborations, and a range of other initiatives as and when needed.
Beekeeping is a small to medium industry in Pakistan which engages many people who have adopted traditional ways of rearing honeybees and collecting honey, which is later sold for profits.
Twenty two different varieties of honey are produced in Pakistan. However, some recent reports recorded a drop in this number owing to shrunk flowering seasons, caused by climate change.
The Honeybee Research Institute empowers and innovates traditional beekeeping with market efficient modern ways and methods.
