The USA welcomes Zambia to the White House


Washington, 24 September 2021 (TDI): In a bilateral press conference at the White House, the Vice-President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris, welcomed the President of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema and praised his efforts and victory in recent elections.

During their press conference, the Vice-President of the USA, Kamala Harris, congratulated the Zambian President on his historical electoral turnout and promised to work together to strengthen democracy and bilateral relations with Zambia.

Along with it, Zambia and the United States agreed on deepening their collaboration for the betterment of the health system and enhanced health security in Zambia.

Furthermore, the Zambian President and the US Vice President reach terms on pandemic preparedness and response to mitigate the Covid-19 effects on the people of Zambia.
