Islamabad (TDI): The Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) hosted a delegation from the Faculty of Political Science, Prince of Songkla University, Thailand, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasmin Sattar. The visit aimed to enhance academic cooperation, promote cross-border dialogue and explore opportunities for joint research and exchange programs.
Dr. Farhat Asif welcomed the delegation; the IPDS Director, Dr. Farhat, highlighted the significance of academic partnerships in addressing global challenges related to diplomacy, peacebuilding, and international relations.
She emphasized that collaboration between institutions dedicated to these fields is crucial for bolstering knowledge-sharing and building stronger regional and global ties. The discussions focused on strengthening faculty and student exchanges, developing collaborative research projects, and organizing joint academic initiatives. Both sides acknowledged the importance of encouraging deeper institutional linkages to promote peace and conflict resolution studies.

Dr. Yasmin Sattar, along with two students doing an International Relations internship at the Thai Embassy in Islamabad, led the delegation. The discussion focused on cooperation in peacebuilding, scholarships, student exchange programs, and cultural ties between Pakistan and Thailand.
Dr. Yasmin shared information about the University and how they are playing an essential role in creating dynamic links between Thailand and across the globe through various internship programs and research collaborations.
