Termez (TDI): From May 19 to 21, 2025, the historic city of Termez in Uzbekistan will host the first-ever Termez Dialogue on Connectivity between Central and South Asia, under the theme Building a Common Space of Peace, Friendship and Prosperity.
The landmark event aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among nations across Central and South Asia, while also welcoming key stakeholders from Europe, the CIS, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas.
Organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the forum is set to bring together around 200 influential participants.
Attendees include policymakers, business leaders, economists, international organization representatives, and renowned experts from global think tanks.

The Termez Dialogue seeks to build on the momentum of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution “Strengthening the Connectivity between Central and South Asia”, initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and adopted in 2022.
Its primary goal is to provide a multilateral platform for fostering regional integration, sustainable development, and long-term peace across Eurasia.
Key discussions during the three-day event will address interregional cooperation in the realms of security, stability, and economic growth.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the role of the private sector and financial institutions in promoting innovation, trade, and investment flows across borders.

One of the anticipated outcomes of the Dialogue is the adoption of a Communique advocating for strengthened trust, mutual understanding, and collaborative efforts between the Central and South Asian regions.
Held at the Termez International Trade Center in the Surkhandarya region, this Dialogue marks the beginning of a long-term initiative to establish Termez as a strategic hub for interregional engagement.
With its inclusive format and strategic focus, the Termez Dialogue is poised to become a permanent platform for defining pathways toward a peaceful, interconnected, and prosperous Eurasian space.
