Islamabad, 16 September 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, discussed the bilateral relations and the evolving dynamics in Afghanistan in a telephonic conversation on Wednesday.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan called for humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. He also underscored the need for international economic and political solidarity with the Afghan people. The Foreign Minister also informed the Bahrain Foreign Minister about the assistance rendered by Pakistan in this regard. He particularly mentioned the evacuation operations and the establishment of a humanitarian corridor for the supply of relief goods.
The two Foreign Ministers also discussed the bilateral relations and vowed to further enhance the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
